Money Matters helps young people learn financial literacy so they can make good financial choices as adults.  Participants learn how to manage a checking account, create a budget, save and invest, start small businesses and pay for college.  Teens that complete Money Matters show improved financial management skills, including saving money and sticking to a budget. (This description comes directly from the Boys & Girls Club of America's website: https://www.bgca.org/programs/education/money-matters )

SMART Moves uses a team approach that involves Club staff, peer leaders, parents and community representatives.  Young people engage in discussion and role-playing, practicing resilience and refusal skills, developing assertiveness, strengthening decision-making skills and analyzing media and peer influence.  The ultimate goal is to promote abstinence from substance abuse and other poor decisions through the practice of responsible behavior.  (This description comes directly from the Boys & Girls Club of America's website: https://www.bgca.org/programs/health-wellness/smart-moves)
